Tenex Capital Picks Simone to Lead LinkAmerica

John Simone, former president and chief operating officer of Greatwide Logistics Services, joined regional truckload and logistics company LinkAmerica as president and CEO.

Simone comes to LinkAmerica a month after Tenex Capital Management acquired the carrier, which operates primarily in the Southeast and South-Central U.S.

LinkAmerica, a $140 million Tulsa, Okla., company, has about 850 trucks and offers regional truckload, dedicated carriage and logistics services.

Simone will help Tenex expand LinkAmerica’s business as the venture capital firm invests in new tractors and trailers to upgrade the carrier’s rolling stock.

“He understands how to manage a fleet of assets to consistently deliver customer service, which are critical building blocks for LinkAmerica,” said Joe Cottone, managing director and principal at Tenex.
