Sanchez Succeeds Tegnelia at Ryder

Robert Sanchez will succeed Anthony G. Tegnelia, who is retiring as president of Ryder Global Fleet Management Solutions after 33 years with Ryder System.

Sanchez has been executive vice president and chief financial officer since October 2007. He has spent 17 years in various posts at Ryder, including executive vice president of U.S. operations at Global Fleet Management Solutions, the company's largest operating unit. Ryder System is number 14 on the JOC list of North America's Top 25 Truckload Carriers.

Succeeding Sanchez as executive vice president and CFO will be Art A. Garcia, who has spent 13 years in corporate accounting and has been senior vice president and controller since 2005. Garcia will continue to serve as Ryder's principal accounting officer.

Greg Swienton, Ryder chairman and CEO, announced the changes. Swienton said Tegnelia, 65, "served with a level of loyalty and integrity that has contributed greatly to our financial performance and success. We wish Tony the very best in the next stage of his life and thank him for his many years of distinguished service to Ryder."
