FMCSA Grants Livestock Truckers Waiver From Hours of Service Rule

As temperatures rise, truck drivers hauling livestock will get a 90-day reprieve from a 30-minute rest break provision of the new hours of service rules. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said July 8 it will grant the temporary exemption “to ensure the well-being of the nation’s livestock” during transport.
