BRAE Corp. Narrows

Its 4th Quarter LossBRAE Corp. narrowed its fourth quarter loss to $5.3 million on revenue of $16.02 million in 1987 from a loss of $5.6 million on revenue of $11.9 million reported in the same period in 1986. In 1986 BRAE changed its fiscal year end to Dec. 31.

American Sign & Indicator Corp., BRAE's electronic visual communications manufacturing and leasing subsidiary, is in default under a partnership formed by Merrill Lynch.

BRAE said it can't secure financing for AS&I and is unlikely to do so in the future perhaps leaving it liable to the partnership for damages resulting

from the default. BRAE is a transportation leasing company.

PLM International

Says Earnings Increase

SAN FRANCISCO - PLM International Inc. reported 1987 income of $8.4 million, or 83 cents a share, on revenue of $80.1 million. In 1986, the company reported income of $1.1 million on revenue of $64.8 million.

On Feb. 2, PLM, formally known as PLM Companies, consolidated 21 partnerships into a new company known as PLM International Inc. Because of its reorganization this year, PLMI said it was not required to file fourth quarter results.
