The year ahead looks to be another red tape-wrapped one for international freight forwarders and customs brokers. Government regulation, including new regulations and new-and-improved versions of old rules, will be the most significant item to affect our industry. Government has inserted itself into nearly every phase of business, which, in effect, causes increased costs.
