Russian Railways, Tatravagonka and TransContainer have signed an agreement to cooperate on the scientific and technical development, manufacturing and testing of high-speed platforms mounted on die-welded bogies.
The deal was signed by Vladimir Yakunin, president of Russian Railways; Valentin Gapanovich, senior vice president of Russian Railways; Alexej Beljajev, chairman of the board of directors at Tatravagonka; and Pyotr Baskakov, managing director of TransContainer.
A working group will be set up to implement the agreement, Russian Railways said in a written statement.
Design documentation, production and testing of the bogies with an axial load of 25 tons, as well as the high-speed wagon platforms, will be carried out in accordance with Russian laws and regulations. Using Russian components will be a priority for all of the parties involved.
