Sohar CEO speaks out on Oman port congestion

A 40 percent surge in “unexplained” empty containers and a spike in imports for the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, combined with the relocation of commercial traffic from Muscat, was the cause of congestion at the Omani port of Sohar, said Andre Toet, CEO of Sohar Industrial Port Company.
