City Is Main Shareholder of Corporatized Amsterdam Port

The Port of Amsterdam has been officially corporatized as a limited liability company, of which the city of Amsterdam is the main shareholder.

The port has subsequently introduced its new company logo and house style, which are now displayed on the control tower and Port Operations Centre in IJmuiden in the Netherlands, as well as on the patrol boats and signposting in the port area.

The board of directors of the new company includes three members: Dertje Meijer, CEO; Koen Overtoom, chief operations officer; and Ed Nieuwenhuizen, CFO. The Harbour Master Division is managed by Janine van Oosten, the harbor master. The supervisory board includes six members: Klaas Westdijk, chairperson; Ingrid Doerga; Willemijn Maas; René Smit; Dook van der Boer; and Jeroen de Haas.
