ABF FREIGHT SYSTEM INC. (Fort Smith, Ark.) - Ron Gardner was appointed manager of ABF's new terminal in Tallahassee, Fla. He was operations supervisor at ABF's terminal in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mark Young was named director, national accounts in Los Angeles. He was branch manager at ABF's Long Beach, Calif., terminal.CF MOTOR FREIGHT (Palo Alto, Calif.) - Robert J. Morrey was named vice president, sales. He was vice president, national sales for CF Motor's central area. CF Motor Freight is the long-hauling operation of Consolidated

CSL INTERMODAL (Hunt Valley. Md.) - Daniel R. Page was promoted to manager, domestic containerization. He was a market analyst.

ITEL RAIL CORP. (San Francisco) - Michele M. Carroll was named director, marketing research. She was manager, sales and research for Sea-Land Service's Alaska trade in Seattle.

Paul A. Losch was named director, product marketing. He was marketing director and product manager at DHL Worldwide Express.

Michael Hurt was named director of shops, eastern region, which includes Itel maintenance shops in Danville, Ill., Channelview, Texas, and Dothan, Ala. Mr. Hurt was plant manager at Danville.

Keith Egan was named director of shops, western region, which include maintenance facilities in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Junction City, Kan., and Springfield, Ore. He was plant manager at Junction City.

Darel Albin was appointed director of dedicated shops and will oversee Itel's Taylorville, Ala., shop. He was director, operations for the dedicated shop group.

P.A.M. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES INC. (Tontitown, Ark.) - Paul A. Maestri resigned as chairman when he and his family sold their 2.5 million shares in the company to a partnership affiliated with Central Transport Inc. of Detroit.

Robert W. Weaver, Central Transport's president and chief operating officer, is now P.A.M.'s new president and chief executive officer. Mr. Maestri will be consultant to Central Transport.

PROVIDENCE AND WORCESTER RAILROAD (Woonsocket, R.I.) - John Geary was named manager, market development. He was market manager at Boston & Maine Railroad.
