CLARENDON NATIONAL INSURANCE CO. (New York) - Dennis J. DiCapua was named vice president of specialty programs. In this new position, Mr. DiCapua will be responsible for developing specialty and non-standard auto programs.

Prior to joining Clarendon, he was vice president in charge of the non- standard auto division at Reliance National. Before that he was with American International Group for over 13 years, heading its non-standard auto and small commercial account divisions.

SKANDIA AMERICA GROUP (New York) - Anders P. Grabo was elected executive vice president of Skandia U.S. Holding, which markets property and casualty insurance, life insurance, and financial products in North America.

Mr. Grabo most recently served as first senior vice president and chief underwriting officer of Skandia America Reinsurance Corp. He will join Skandia America Re's board of directors and will continue to serve on several of its other boards.

He joined Skandia America Re in 1989 after working as chief executive of a Skandia reinsurance division in Stockholm, where parent company Skandia Group is headquartered. Mr. Grabo was also named to the board of directors for Skandia Direct Operations Corp., the holding company for Skandia America's three primary insurance operations.

Robert E. Piller joined Skandia America Re as vice president and manager of its facultative casualty reinsurance operations in Connecticut.

Mr. Piller came to the company from Continental Reinsurance Corp., a subsidiary of Continental Insurance Co. in New York, where he was senior vice president of casualty facultative operations. He has also worked for Home Insurance Co. of Illinois/Indiana as vice president in charge of reinsurance, new product development and marketing.
