ALEXANDER & ALEXANDER OF NEW YORK INC. (New York) - Suzanne Douglass was named a senior vice president. She was also named director of the Property Division in the New York office.

She was vice president and department head of the Property Division.CHUBB & SON INC. (Warren, N.J.) - Adrienne Kane was elected a vice president. She also serves as manager of the corporate actuarial division and manager of mangement information systems.

Jack Hicks was elected senior vice president. He also serves as manager of the lower Manhattan branch office.

CHUBB GROUP OF INSURANCE COS. (Warren, N.J.) - Thomas F. Motamed was named Westchester branch manager. He was marketing manager in the Long Island branch.

HOME LIFE INSURANCE CO. (New York) - William B. Wallace was elected chief executive officer. He continues to serve as president.

He succeeds Kenneth C. Nichols, who will remain as chairman of the board until his retirement in 1991.

Donald B. Thaler was elected executive vice president, Group Benefits & Services and Pension.

KEMPER CORP. (Long Grove, Ill.) - David B. Mathis was named president and chief operating officer. He was an executive vice president, Insurance Services Group.

John H. Fitzpatrick was named a senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was a vice president.

KEMPER NATIONAL INSURANCE COS. (Long Grove, Ill.) - Gerald L. Maatman was named chief executive officer. He was president.

He succeeds Joseph E. Luecke, who remains chairman of the board.

Alfred K. Kenyon was named executive vice president. He will head a new Insurance Services Group that will encompass the claim, information services and statistical functions.

He was senior vice president, claim division.

Walter L. White was named chief financial officer. He was principal

financial officer. He continues to serve as senior vice president.

PENSION PLANNING CO. (New York) - Donald A. Lockwood was named president. Pension Planning Co. is a subsidiary of Republic Hogg Robinson, Inc., Boston.

THE TRAVELERS CORP. (Hartford, Conn.) - David J. Ottensmeyer, M.D. was named senior vice president and chief medical officer, a new position, in Managed Care and Employee Benefits Operations.

He was executive vice president and chief executive officer of Nashville, Tenn.-based Equicor Inc.

UNUM CORP. (Portland, Maine) - Robert G. Ostrander was promoted to senior vice president, Individual Disability.
