DONALDSON, LUFKIN & JENRETTE (New York) - Joyce I. Greenberg was named a senior vice president in the investment banking division. She will head DLJ's retailing group, which provides financing, merchant banking, merger and acquisition, and advisory services to retailers and other merchandisers.

Ms. Greenberg was with Kidder Peabody, where she was a managing director in charge of the retail finance group.NATIONAL BANK OF WASHINGTON (Washington) - Edward C. Johnson was named senior vice president and deputy chief lending officer. He was with Marine Midland Bank in New York.

Robert J. Creighton was named vice president and general auditor. He was assistant general auditor for First Virginia Banks Inc.

Joseph P. McGrath was named senior vice president in charge of Washington capital markets, the bank's investment banking service. He formerly operated his own firm, JGM Inc., a consulting and merchant banking firm in Montgomery County, Md.

PHILADELPHIA STOCK EXCHANGE (Philadelphia) - John J. Wallace was named acting chairman to replace Martin L. Longstreth Jr., who died on March 7.

Mr. Wallace, president of Park Avenue Securities, also was elected to

serve as vice chairman of the exchange for a one-year term, along with Allen B. Lang, senior vice president and branch manager of Grunthal & Co.

A nominating committee will convene to nominate the exchange's chairman for a special election May 9.
