FMC CORP. (Chicago) - Jeffrey Butryn was named marketing manager, hydrogen peroxide, in the company's Peroxygen Chemicals division. He will be in charge of marketing the chemical to the environmental, mining, distributor and textile markets.

Mr. Butryn previously served as district manager of the company's Midwestern regional sales office, responsible for industrial sales of alkali, peroxygen and phosphorus products.Mr. Butryn joined FMC in 1976 as a sales representative.

HOECHST-CELANESE CORP. (Chatham, N.J.) - Edward Munoz was named vice president and general manager of the company's Engineering Plastics division.

Mr. Munoz will be responsible for directing the Engineering Plastics division in North America and will coordinate operations in Central and South America. He replaces James Conway, who was appointed executive vice president of the company's Specialty Chemicals Group.

Mr. Munoz joined Hoechst in 1967 and has served in a number of technical and managerial positions. He was most recently product and manufacturing director for the Engineering Plastics division.

The company also announced that Douglas Perry was named director of marketing for the Engineering Plastics division.

Mr. Perry joined Hoechst in 1974 and previously served as director of quality management in the Engineering Plastics division.

Both appointments were effective April 1, 1990.

OLIN CORP. (Stamford, Conn.) - Peter Kosche was appointed vice president, materials management for the company's Chemicals Group. Mr. Kosche will be responsible for purchasing, transportation, and distribution functions.

Mr. Kosche joined Olin in 1973 as a manager of new consumer products and most recently served as general manager, pool chemicals.
