TRADE MISSIONS

FROM THE UNITED STATES/CANADAIRAQ. March 17-22. The World Trade Club of New York Inc. is sponsoring a weeklong trade mission that will include briefings with government and business officials. Mission participants also can meet individually with representatives of the public and private sectors. Iraq is trying to develop its infrastructure and all economic sectors, including its agriculture, transportation, consumer, petrochemical, telecommunications, health and manufacturing sectors. CHILE. March 25 to April 1. The U.S. Department of Commerce is looking for U.S. aerospace companies to participate in the Aerospace Products Information Center at the U.S. Pavilion of the FIDAE Aerospace '90 Trade Show.

PHILIPPINES, INDONESIA AND THAILAND. April 19-27. The Commerce Department

plans to lead a telecommunications mission to acquaint U.S. businessmen with market opportunities in the three countries. Commerce said Indonesia may launch major projects in digital switching equipment, rural telecom networks and a national data network, among others, while Thailand may install a new generation of digital exchange equipment and expand national transmission routes. INDIA. April 23-May 4. The U.S. Department of Commerce will sponsor a mission to New Delhi, Bangalore and Bombay. The mission is limited to 10 U.S. aerospace firms and will be directed at the aviation services, airborne avionics, ground support and air traffic control equipment markets. Contact John L. EGYPT, SAUDI ARABIA AND IRAQ. May 14-28. The U.S. Department of Commerce is sponsoring a trade mission to Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh and Baghdad to visit civilian and military aerospace leaders in the participating countries.
