Trailer Bridge Replaces CEO

Williiam G. Gotimer Jr. and Mark Tanner have been named co-CEOs of Trailer Bridge, replacing Ivy Barton Suter, who resigned Friday.

Suter’s resignation “will be treated as a termination without cause under the terms of her employment agreement,” the company said in a brief filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Suter joined the Jacksonville, Fla.,-based company in 2009. Gotimer and Tanner have been with Trailer Bridge since it was founded in 1991 by the late containerization pioneer Malcom McLean.

Trailer Bridge operates domestic trucking and a barge service that carries 53-foot containers between the U.S. mainland and Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

The company is working to refinance $82.5 million in bond debt due Nov. 15.
