Sierra Leone has received a credit from International Development Association (IDA) in various currencies toward cost of Sierra Leone Third Education Project; it is intended that part of proceeds of this will be applied to eligible payments under contract for supply of college and staff house furniture (teachers' tables and chairs, students desk and chairs, laboratory work benches and stools, dining room tables and chairs, beds and mattresses and miscellaneous items including book cases, storage cupboards, file cabinets and floor carpets). Sierra Leone invites sealed bids from bidders from eligible source countries as defined in World Bank Guidelines to submit applications for supply of furniture required for new Freetown Teachers

College being constructed at Jui, near Freetown. Bids will be considered per package. Bidders may quote for one or more complete package(s): package 1: beds/mattresses; package 2: chairs/tables; package 3: tables, desks, workbenches; package 4: miscellaneous items. Eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect bidding documents at office below. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any eligible bidder on submission of a written application and payment of a non-refundable fee of US$30 or Leone equivalent for local bidders. Bidders requiring documents to

sent by post will have to pay extra for registered air mail or DHL or EMS mail services. Sierra Leone - Foreign Government Tender

S1611 Road reconstruction project

The Philippines, through Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), invites contractors classified by and registered with Inter-Agency Committee on Registration and Classification of Contractors as medium B for roads to apply for prequalification and submit bid for rehabilitation of Urdaneta- Asingan-Tayug Road Project, Asingan, Pangasinan. Estimated cost of contract works is 30 million pesos (US$1=26 pesos). Prequalification and bid documents are available to prospective bidders at Central PBAC Secretariat, 5th Floor, DPWH Building, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila, Philippines, upon presentation of letter of intent, originals of contractor's license, certificate of registration and classification for authentication. Ethiopia - Foreign Government Tender

8414 High pressure compressed air

Costa Rican Institute of Electricity (ICE) invites local and foreign firms to participate in public tender no. 6236 for acquisition of high pressure compressed air equipment for geothermal well induction, totally new with zero hours of use, to be used in pressurization activities at Miravalles Geothermal Project in Guanacaste province. Compressed air equipment must consist of: transportable heavy-duty air compressors, propelled by heavy-duty diesel motors, skid mounted, inter and post-coolers, forced-type lubricating system damped/cushioned-type operated valves, control panel, safety mechanism, and pneumatic-tire trailer for equipment transport. Bidder must supply a high

pressure hose, 25 meters long, capable of supporting 150 bars pressure. This tender is funded by Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) under loan no. 572/ OCCR, and has an estimated value of US$512,500. Participation bond is 1 percent of offer value and performance bond is 5 percent of total award. Tender documents can be obtained at ICE Procurement Department for approx. US$6.
