Procurement announcement: system is designed to manage line facility documents. Reads data printed on paper with scanner, and manages read data as files. Data can be output as necessary. Quantity: 1 set (lease), February 1994. Public notice concerning invitation to submit proposal under Track II procedures. Delivery site: NTT will specify delivery sites in Japan separately. Basic requirements of participation: applicants are allowed to participate in this procurement procedure by itself or jointly with other suppliers. In case of joint participation, participants have to designate representative who will contact NTT at every stage, including application, selection and contract negotiations. Although NTT will contact and negotiate with chosen representative, all joint participants shall assume every obligation/liability related to this procurement regardless of their status. However, suppliers who fall under any of following conditions cannot participate in procurement: (I) suppliers adjudicated to be an incompetent or quasi-incompetent; (II) suppliers adjudicated to be bankrupt, and who have not yet been reinstated; (III) suppliers under arrangement, composition, corporate reorganization, bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings; (IV) suppliers who, within last two years: (a) willfully did poor or faulty work in manufacture of any products or in any services in performance of a contract with NTT, or committed any unfair act with respect to quality and/or quantity of any products supplied thereunder; (b) conspired with any other supplier or suppliers in making any application or obtaining or performing any contract with NTT to obtain unfair profit; (c) interfered with any other supplier or suppliers making an application or entering into or performing a contract with

NTT; (d) interfered with, or refused/failed to cooperate with personnel of NTT in performance of their duty at any inspection or supervision; (e) failed/ refused to enter into or to perform any contract with NTT or to perform any contract with NTT without a just reason; (f) made any false report/ misrepresentation in procedures of application, conclusion or performance of a contract with NTT; (g) committed any unfair act to interfere with any other supplier or suppliers in competition in NTT tenders; or (V) suppliers who are deemed to have gained unfair advantage in competition as result of their direct involvement in preparation of final documentation and/or technical specifications for this procurement. Charge will be made for furnishing interested persons with copies of application form and tender documents. Language used for application shall be Japanese or English.
