Jeffrey Boston has succeeded Chris Dombalis as chief executive officer at U.S. mainland-Puerto Rico carrier Trailer Bridge.
Boston was CEO of consulting firm Apex3 LLC, and previously was with Alix Partners. Dombalis reportedly has shifted to another division of Seacor Holdings, the carrier’s majority shareholder.
Trailer Bridge chief operating officer Adam Gawrysh also has left the company.
Seacor would not confirm or comment on the changes, which took place several weeks ago. Boston did not return a telephone call from JOC.com.
Dombalis had been Trailer Bridge CEO since January 2013. He succeeded Frank Halliwell, who held the post on an interim basis after the company emerged from bankruptcy protection in 2012 and Seacor became majority stockholder.
Trailer Bridge is the smallest of the four main carriers in the domestic Jones Act trade to and from Puerto Rico. The company operates towed barges that transport cargo in 53-foot-long, 102-inch-wide containers between U.S. inland points and Puerto Rico.
