BC Rail Infrastructure Upgraded to Support Trade With Asia

Construction of the Combo Project, a $121.5 million infrastructure investment along the Roberts Bank Rail Corridor in Surrey, British Columbia, last week was celebrated by stakeholders.

In attendance were Canadian Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway Ed Fast, British Columbia Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Mary Polak, President and CEO Robin Silvester and municipal officials.

The project, part of the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative that seeks to expand trade with Asia, involves the building of rail crossing overpasses in Surrey to reduce road delays and enhance rail operations.
