Echo Global Logistics reported record profit of $4.4 million in the third quarter of 2013, a 90.8 percent jump from $2.3 million in the third quarter of 2012.
Quarterly revenue for the transportation and supply chain management company also reached an all-time high, totaling $234.8 million, compared with $192.7 million a year earlier.
“Echo posted another quarter of double-digit growth in revenue and earnings,” CEO Doug Waggoner said in a written statement. “Despite a difficult pricing environment, the consistent execution of our strategy is delivering profitability increases to our bottom line.”
In the first nine months of 2013, net income was $11.5 million, versus $9 million in the same period last year. Year-to-date revenue was $662.9 million, up from $546.5 million.
