Indonesia Won't Budge

On Oil Price to JapanJAKARTA, Indonesia - Indonesia will not sell crude oil to Japan below its official price of $17.56 a barrel, newly appointed Mines and Energy Minister Ginanjar Kartasasmita said.

The price is valid for the first half of this year.

OPEC Price Meet Set

For April 6 in Vienna

FRANKFURT, West Germany - The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries price committee meeting announced Wednesday by OPEC President Rilwanu Lukman will begin April 6 in Vienna, an Arab OPEC diplomatic source there said.

The meeting of the five-member committee has no scheduled length, the source said.

To Attend OPEC Talks

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Indonesia's new mines and energy minister Ginanjar Kartasasmita said both he and his predecessor, Subroto, will attend next month's Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries pricing committee meeting in Vienna.

Postings for WTI

Amoco Production Co., Chicago, raised its posted buying price for West Texas Intermediate crude oil by 50 cents to a new price of $16 a barrel, effective Friday. The company is a unit of Amoco Corp.

Sun Co. and Texaco Trading & Transportation Inc., a unit of Texaco Inc., increased their posted buying prices for West Texas Intermediate crude by 50 cents a barrel to a new price of $16.

Citgo Petroleum, Tulsa, Okla., made a similar price move Thursday. Citgo is jointly held by Southland Corp. and Petroleos de Venezuela SA.
