Mercosur expected to gain from new Argentina president

The election of Mauricio Macri as president of Argentina could see the the long-diminished Mercosur trading bloc once again become a serious force and help its members forge successful trade pacts with the EU and the North American Free Trade Agreement member nations, and possibly even its west coast of South America rival, the Pacific Alliance.
