Kelly joins Consolidators International

Mike Kelly has been appointed executive vice president at Consolidators International.

Kelly will report directly to Julian Keeling, president and chief executive of the international air-cargo wholesaler and will act in a dual function as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

In a statement, Keeling said, "The growth of CII, particularly since the beginning of 2004, has been so rapid and so sustained both in the U.S. and abroad, we needed an executive with the necessary skills and experience who could take the company to its next level of development in a very competitive environment.

"Mike has the mature judgment, a varied background in almost every phase of air cargo operations, and the overall capabilities to help catapult CII to unquestioned leadership in our sector of the international air freight industry."

Kelly will oversee all administrative, accounting and information technology functions at Los Angeles-based CII.

In more than 35 years in the business, Kelly worked at Flying Tigers, BAX Global, and served as the first chairman of Cargo Network Services, the air freight arm of the International Air Transportation Association. He most recently spent 11 years at SITA, the provider of information management systems for airlines and freight forwarders.
