Global Transportation Solutions appoints two

Global Transportation Solutions (GTS), a vendor of terminal

management systems, has appointed Norman E. Wainwright to the

position of vice president, operations, and David Mark Stephens to the

position of manager, quality assurance.

Wainwright will direct the GTS global delivery organization, focused on marketing their TOPS Terminal Operations Productivity

Solution (TOPS.) Stephens will report directly to Wainwright. GTS said it has begun to implement TOPS at the Suez Canal Container Terminal in Port Said, Egypt, and at the Maersk Minami terminal in Honmoku Terminal in Yokohama, Japan.

Wainwright has more than 25 years experience in information

technology executive positions, at such companies as Hapag Lloyd,

Puerto Rico Marine Management, and RCA Corp.

Stephens has 15 years of experience in transportation

technology. He joins GTS from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines Americas,

where he worked as a business analyst/project manager in developing

business systems for operations. He also represented the carrier on

the Customs Electronic Systems Advisory Committee. GTS said he played a key role in the implementation of a terminal management system for Wallenius Wilhelmsen. He has also worked at United Parcel Service (UPS) and Schuetz Container Systems.
