Lufthansa Cargo plans cooperation with Shenzhen

Lufthansa Cargo plans to cooperate with Shenzhen Airlines in China as it expands its Asian freight business, the company said on Tuesday.

"We are in talks with Shenzhen Airlines," a spokesman for Lufthansa Cargo told Reuters. "We should be able to give details in the next four to six weeks."

Lufthansa Cargo announced in May that it plans to set up an international air freight hub for Asia with Shenzhen Airport.

The cargo airline has said it expects pre-tax profit this year to be significantly higher than last year, despite a doubling in first-quarter operating loss to 16 million euros ($19.77 million).

It expects sales growth of between five and 10 percent this year.
