Emirates SkyCargo Boosts Dubai-Australia Capacity

Emirates SkyCargo has doubled freighter capacity on its service between Dubai and Australia.

The Boeing 777 freighter service will now call at Sydney twice a week on its Dubai-Singapore-Sydney-Hong Kong-Dubai routing.

The second weekly service was introduced just seven months after the introduction of the first dedicated freighter service on the route.

The carrier also offers bellyhold capacity out of Australia on its 70 weekly passenger flights.

“The demand for a bi-weekly service is a good indication of Australia’s growing importance as a trade partner to major international markets,” said Greg Johnson, Emirates’ cargo manager, Australia.
