New Program Aimed at Small to Mid-Size Trucking Firms

Nov 12, 2013

COLUMBUS, Ohio—TRINCON GROUP, a leading national transportation industry advisory and technology firm, has announced a new program aimed specifically at small to mid-size trucking firms to help them control costs, improve profitability, and position themselves for business growth.

The comprehensive program provides a combination of Business Analysis tools, and Executive Coaching customizable to fit their individual situation.  Based on Trincon’s 30 years of experience in working with trucking firms, both large and small across the country, the main areas of focus are:

  • Cost Management and Profitability
  • Operational Management
  • Driver Development and Retention
  • Marketing and Business Development

According to the American Trucking Association, there are over 45,000 truckload carriers in the United States, with 80% or more of those operating fewer than 20 trucks.  Duff Swain, President of Trincon, recognizes that “Small business is the key to growth in the US economy.”  In announcing this initiative, Mr. Swain explained, “Ever increasing operating costs, driver shortages, asset utilization, marketing and business development affect all motor carriers.  Smaller carriers have the same problems and issues as their larger cousins, but don’t have access to same resources.  This program is designed to give those carriers the tools they need to grow and assist in their implementation with a personalized coaching program.”
