CONOVER, NC – August 5, 2013 – To meet increased LTL freight volume throughout the
U.S., specialized furniture carrier and international 3PL provider Zenith Global Logistics has
acquired 60 new 53' trailers from Utility. The company has also added 10 Freightliner M2
straight trucks for local home delivery to its fleet.
“Over the past few years we’ve added both freight and home delivery hubs in multiple states,
including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas,” remarks Jack Hawn, President and CEO.
“As our business continues to grow in these and surrounding markets, we’ve taken the next
step by expanding our fleet to ensure we have both the freight hauling capacity we need as
well as the straight trucks necessary to meet the requirements of our final mile customers.”
Last spring Zenith added 40 regional and OTR trucks plus 80 trailers to its fleet to address
growing business in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Operational expansions have also
included the addition of regional hubs in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, San Antonio, Tupelo,
Miss., and West Palm Beach, Fla. Zenith also recently boosted its North Carolina storage and
handling capacity by more than 30% when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in
Conover as its new corporate headquarters. Future expansion plans include facilities in
Indiana, Maryland, and California.
