Con-way Freight Receives SmartWay Transport Partner Verification

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that it has received the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) SmartWay® Transport Partnership verification for the seventh consecutive year.

The SmartWay Transport Partnership is a voluntary program that uses strong market-based incentives to challenge companies to improve the environmental performance of their freight operations. Through their collaboration with the EPA, partners improve their energy efficiency, save money, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.
