Baltimore, MD, November 20, 2009 - At a breakfast held by the Baltimore Business Journal yesterday, it was announced that Three Dog Logistics was named the #2 Fastest Growing Privately held Baltimore company for 2008. Baltimore Business Journal publishes the Top 100 list on an annual basis.

Founded in 2005, Three Dog has experienced explosive growth for the past 4 years, with sales growing from $1.2M to $5.4M in 2008. Three Dog recently engaged in a re-branding effort, where they changed their name from Direct Mail Logistics to Three Dog Logistics.

If you look at our industry, it's hard to stand out as a unique logistics provider. We took a dry subject and put a face on it, and made it fun. Our mascots are a trio of pug dogs, modeled after the three pets that have full run of our office, says John Kennedy, owner of Three Dog. Then we made it easy for clients to get a quote and use our service. Our fully automated Transportation Management System is named Rover, who sniffs out the best rates for our customers. We give them all of the instructions they need for their shipments, via a series of information videos and checklists provided by our website. Once a pickup is scheduled, they can scroll over to our fun 'Meet the Dogs' page or visit Three Dog Blog, where clients post pictures of their own pets.

Tips for Success. In a recent interview with the Baltimore Business Journal, Kennedy was asked about his tips for success. Keep your brand visible, outsource when and where you can, and automate everything, he advises.
