STI Announces New President & CEO
Fort Wayne, Indiana — April 27, 2010 – Specialized Transportation Inc., STI, the leader in high value product logistics, is proud to announce that Ian Nicolson has been named President and CEO. Ian has served as interim President and CEO over the past eight months following the loss of STI’s President and CEO, Rob Shearer, to cancer.
His involvement with STI dates back to 2008 when he was a consultant to the company. He has also served as a member of the STI Board and Executive Committee since early 2009. Ian previously held a number of senior management and executive positions with North American Van Lines. He managed the High Value Products/Logistics Division (the forerunner of STI) for eight years, before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the company.
Ian comes with an aggressive agenda and vision directly supportive of the strategic growth and development of STI. “The opportunity for STI is huge.” Ian stated, “The demand for specialized logistics in the health care, consumer electronics, furniture and industrial verticals continue to grow.
