Standard Forwarding Named LTL Carrier of the Year for the Second Consecutive Year

East Moline, IL - February 16, 2010 For a second year in a row Standard Forwarding has earned recognition as the Overall LTL Carrier of the Year in Mastio & Company's annual Value and Loyalty Benchmarking Study.

The in-depth study identifies and quantifies the needs of LTL freight customers while comparing national, regional and local carriers. Standard Forwarding was selected as the overall winner based upon top scores in 24 service attributes determined to be most important to LTL customers.

In the study, Mastio & Company conducted interviews with key decision makers at over 2,000 shippers, providing 7,000 observations in rating hundreds of LTL carriers. From the data collected, shippers identified their top five needs to be: Shipments delivered with no shortages or damages, Shipments delivered when promised, Shipments picked up when promised, Effective problem resolution, and Competitive pricing. Standard Forwarding rated best at meeting or exceeding those needs.
