Shipco Expands Global Reach with recently opened Turkey Office and Direct Service

JOC Staff |
One of the world’s leading neutral NVOCCs, Shipco Transport, started a weekly, direct intact less-than-container load ocean freight service from Istanbul into New York. This new service complements Shipco’s direct LCL export service from New York to Istanbul.

The import service will link the Istanbul container hub to New York in 18 days through carrier Turkon Lines. Adding to that is a comprehensive inland point intermodal offering from New York for the expedient move of cargoes throughout the United States. Export cargo also moves with Turkon Lines, reaching Turkey in 20 days.

Shipco’s Istanbul office will act as gateway to a domestic market of close to 80 million inhabitants including the Black Sea, Central Asia and Caucasus.

Shipco Transport provides a comprehensive range of neutral export and import ocean and airfreight services. Shipco is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark with more than 1,500 employees in own offices worldwide.

Shipco is a founding member of the WorldWide Alliance, an association of the world’s top NVOCCs.
