Railinc President Appointed to N.C. Technology Association Board of Directors

Cary, N.C. (March 15, 2010)—Railinc announced today that E. Allen West, president and chief executive officer, has been selected to serve on the N.C. Technology Association’s (NCTA) 2010 board of directors. West was officially named to the NCTA board at the organization’s annual meeting held Jan. 29 at the Embassy Suites in Cary.

“I’m honored to serve on the NCTA’s board,” West said. “NCTA is a leading advocate for North Carolina’s technology industry and plays a critical role in its continued growth and global competitiveness. It’s a privilege to be a part of this effort.”

West became Railinc’s president and CEO in 2006 after serving as the company’s vice president of business services and vice president of information technology. He has 25 years’ experience in information technology and business management with leading companies in the transportation sector including Sea-Land Service Inc.; Tenneco, Inc. and Norfolk Southern Corp. West is a charter member of the IBM Global Rail Innovation Center advisory board, has been recognized for his contributions to the development of certified project management professionals and is an active member of the NCTA. Under West’s leadership, Railinc received NCTA’s 21 Award in 2009 in the category of industry-driven technology company.
