Railinc President Allen West Named to Teradata Board of Advisors

Cary, NC, June 22, 2010 (James Street Media Services)—Railinc Corp. announced today that E. Allen West, president and CEO, has been named to the Teradata Travel and Transportation Board of Advisors. Railinc is the North American freight rail industry's leading resource for rail data, IT and information services. Teradata is the world’s largest company solely focused on creating enterprise agility through database software, enterprise data warehousing, data warehouse appliances and analytics. Transportation, distribution, logistics and travel are among the company’s core client groups.

West became Railinc’s president and CEO in 2006 after serving as the company’s vice president of business services and vice president of information technology. He has 25 years of experience in information technology and business management with leading companies in the transportation sector, including Sea-Land Service, Inc.; Tenneco, Inc. and Norfolk Southern Corp. West is a charter member of the IBM Global Rail Innovation Center advisory board and serves on the board of the North Carolina Technology Association. Under West’s leadership, Railinc won NCTA’s 21 Award in 2009 for excellence and innovation in the category of industry-driven technology company.

The Teradata Travel and Transportation Board of Advisors, which includes business leaders representing all facets of the travel and transportation industry, provides objective, outside-in thinking and continuous focus on core business and technology issues. Members’ diverse perspectives on the products and services that their companies require support the Teradata executive team in developing and deploying products and services, establishing business relationships and making strategic decisions. Board members serve terms of up to three years.
