TRAC Intermodal, the leading intermodal equipment provider and chassis pool manager in North America, has appointed Joseph Alexander as Senior Director of Customer Service. Alexander reports to Mark Michaels, Chief Commercial Officer, who joined TRAC Intermodal in May, 2015.

Mr. Alexander will be responsible for cultivating a highly-responsive customer centric approach to TRAC Intermodal’s service model by bringing the voice-of-the-customer into TRAC’s processes.

“Joe has an extensive track record in the customer experience and customer services sectors across the transportation category and we’re excited to have him join our organization,” says Mark Michaels, Chief Commercial Officer at TRAC Intermodal. “TRAC is making significant investments that will ultimately give our customers the resources and capabilities that they need to run their businesses more efficiently.”

Alexander joins TRAC from Maersk Line where he rose from Director, Customer Service Projects to Senior Director, Customer Experience and Services during his nine-year tenure. He was previously Assistant Vice President at Royal P&O Nedlloyd and held import manager position for several CHB/Freight Forwarding companies earlier in his career.

“We listen to our customers. They want us to help make it easier for them to do business, which begins with delivering high-quality customer service,” Michaels explains. “From our end, that means ensuring chassis availability for customers, providing reliable equipment promptly, and satisfying their needs for a range of chassis as well as pool and fleet management offerings.”
