TOKYO, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- OAG (www.oag.com), the global leader in aviation intelligence, and Japan Airport Terminal Co. Ltd., operator of Tokyo International Airport at Haneda, have signed a multi-year agreement in which OAG will provide aviation market data to the airport. The data provided will assist the airport in its decision making process and ensure an efficient operation for the airlines with services at the airport.

Haneda Airport is anticipating a period of strong growth since its fourth runway and international passenger terminal began operations on 21 October. Additionally, rapid expansion of the airport's international flight schedules is planned to begin on 31 October. As a result, passenger capacity at the airport is expected to greatly increase over the next three years. During the months of October and November 2010 alone, the number of international flights is expected to more than double, from 565 to 1,369.

Passenger growth at Haneda Airport is expected to grow from 5 million international passengers this year, to eight million in 2011, making operational efficiency critical, said Mario Hardy, Vice President Asia Pacific, UBM Aviation. Our investment in leading-edge technologies, our unequalled knowledge, expertise, and commitment to deliver superior aviation market data makes us the perfect supplier to Haneda Airport.

The airport's long awaited fourth runway and its highly coveted slots have received much press coverage over the past few months as many airlines tried to secure routes from various continents and destinations. OAG is pleased to be part of one of the largest airport expansion plans in Japan in recent years, and to support Haneda Airport's operation with the supply of its aviation market data, continued Hardy.

About Haneda Airport
Tokyo International Airport at Haneda, the core base of Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd., was returned to Japan by the United States in 1952, at which time its name was changed from Tokyo Aerodrome to Tokyo International Airport. With this resumption of the gateway to Japan, there was an urgent necessity to provide the facility with the functions of an international airport fully capable of serving Tokyo. Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. was established to meet this crucial need and soon commissioned to construct and manage the terminal building with private capital in cooperation with Japan's leading business companies.
