New President to Lead Express Delivery & Logistics Association

Kansas City, MO: March 17, 2011 – Scott Cannon, CEO of MNX, was recently elected president of the Express Delivery and Logistics Association (XLA). He commenced his term as president on March 11 after nomination and approval at the 2011 XLA annual membership meeting held at AirCargo 2011 in San Diego, CA.

Scott Cannon, CEO of MNX, joined the company in 2002 as VP Finance, a position he held until promoted to CFO in 2004. In early 2007 Scott was promoted to CEO. Mr. Cannon has a M.B.A. and B.A. in Finance. An expert on the specialty air courier industry, Scott is frequently asked to speak on panels, and to comment on issues affecting the industry.

John CostanzoPast President
John T. Costanzo is President of Purolator International, headquartered in New York. He is responsible for Purolator’s third party logistics business and for the development and execution of the company’s cross border strategic plan. Costanzo has an extensive background in the distribution and logistics industry. Prior to joining Purolator, he served in a variety of roles in the TNT Post Group – a company providing global express, mail and logistics services across the world. He held positions of increasing levels of responsibility, beginning with Senior Vice President of the Express Products Division and rising to President of the International Mail Division, Americas Region. Costanzo began his career with the Emery Air Freight Corporation, where prior to joining TNT he had risen to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Emery’s largest division.

The XLA board officers are joined by the 7 XLA board members at large who include: Claudio Bacchi, Managing Partner at Red Logistics Corp. in Florida; Tom Belmont, Senior Vice President – Service at MNX in California; Timothy Byrnes, Vice President of GeoPost Americas in New York; Matt Groppe, Director of Business Development and Strategy at DHL in Virginia; Craig Meindl, Agents Manager at World Courier, Inc. in New York; Bart Salant, President at Paramount Courier Inc. in New York; Angelo Patrizio, Director of Regulatory Affairs & Compliancy at International Bonded Couriers, Inc. in Florida.

The XLA Board of Directors will guide the association through its various programs that assist express delivery, postal and logistics industry members. Programs include meetings, advocacy efforts, business support and more. The association also assists its members by providing a network of support for personal and professional growth.
