MMA Railway Adds Eastern Canada Sales Manager

Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway (MMA) has appointed Christophe Journet senior manager Sales and Marketing, effective June 7. He is based in Farnham, Quebec, where he will have responsibility for customer focus within the railways territory in eastern Canada and Vermont.

Our business in Quebec is growing, despite a soft economy, said Joe McGonigle, MMAs VP Sales and Marketing. Christophe will be a valuable addition to our team developing traffic on the west end of our railroad.

Mr. Journet has more than 15 years of experience primarily in logistics and food service in Canada and France. He holds an MBA from UQAM (Universit du Qubec Montral).

Since 2003, he served as director of accounts for ICS Courier (TransForce), principally in eastern Quebec. He previously was regional director of development for Compass Group, director of retention and European development for United Savan, and administrator of the international office and commercial development for Ducros Express.

Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway began operations in 2003 on 754 route miles of track in Maine, New Brunswick, Quebec and Vermont.
