Alexandria, VA –February 15, 2010- The Transportation Intermediaries Association’s 32nd Annual Convention and Trade Show, April 7-10 at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador in Tucson, AZ, will feature speakers addressing how to seek military traffic, what CSA 2010 will mean and how to be prepared to cope with emergency situations.

James Gilmore, Chief of Quality Assurance in the Strategic Business Office with the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) at Fort Eustis, VA, was one of the most popular speakers at last year’s Convention and will lead a discussion on how to seek and handle government freight. Gilmore’s 40 years of experience make him truly an expert.

Given the recent weather disasters, James Morse, President & CEO of RFX, Inc., will lead a panel discussion on emergency preparedness. Morse will relate his firsthand experience about how being prepared allowed his company to survive such a situation, losing only one day of data and service.

In light of the attention the implementation of CSA 2010 is being given, Captain Mark Savage, Colorado State Patrol Motor Carrier Safety Unit, will lead two separate discussions about this topic. Given the significant changes in how a carrier’s safe performance will be evaluated, this is a must.

As the economy begins to improve and government changes increase, it is more important than ever to position your company for the future. TIA's meeting is designed to help the industry's leading 3PLs recognize the changes necessary to grow and prosper, said Robert Voltmann, TIA’s president and CEO.

As registration is running ahead of last year and exhibit hall space is filling up rapidly, potential exhibitors should move quickly to reserve space before it is too late. Details can be found at www.tianet.org/exhibit.

Participants at the Transportation Intermediaries Association’s 32nd Annual Convention and Trade Show will benefit from 16 educational sessions in 4 tracks which can be mixed and matched to create a unique learning experience. Five plenary sessions on topics that affect every 3PL, three pre-conference seminars and the largest trade show for brokerage-based 3PLs make this a “must attend” event. Details about the convention are available at www.tianet.org/2010.
