SAN MATEO, Calif. — Nov. 12, 2009 — Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that it has been named a 2008 Partner in Progress for Sears Holdings Corporation. This is the second consecutive year Menlo has received the award and the third time overall.

The prestigious Partners in Progress award is presented annually to a select group of supplier companies that provide Sears Holdings with quality products and services, from apparel, appliances and tools to marketing, facilities design and technology. Less than one percent of Sears Holdings' over 10,000 suppliers earn the coveted award each year.

Interim CEO and President Bruce Johnson congratulated the winners, stating: Sears Holdings relies on its supplier community, as well as the quality of the merchandise and services they provide, to help us create lasting relationships with our customers and empower them to manage their lives. This program was started more than 25 years ago and is a testament to the importance of collaborating with our supplier partners to better serve our customers and increase productivity.

Menlo’s relationship with Sears Holdings Corporation began 17 years ago. In addition to providing transportation management and garment inspection services for the nation’s fourth largest broadline retailer, Menlo handled the seamless integration of five cross-dock operations, which the company continues to manage.

“Only the best of the best among Sears’ suppliers are recognized with the Partners in Progress award and we are thrilled to be a part of this esteemed group,” said Robert L. Bianco Jr., president, Menlo Worldwide Logistics. “Our custom solutions, commitment to service and talented employees contributed to this honor and we are grateful for the recognition.”

The Partners in Progress program recognizes suppliers for product or service quality, innovation, diversity and overall market performance. The winners were selected from nominations submitted by Sears' associates who purchased goods and services for the company in 2008.
