Sponsored in partnership with the Maritime Administration (MARAD), the Conference aims to connect students from federal and state merchant marine academies and maritime colleges with professional women who are leaders in various sectors of the maritime industry;

Panel discussion topics to include:
Seafaring Women; Seafaring Jobs in Government Service; Women in the Maritime Industry; Maritime Policy… join us for a special Saturday morning (10 a.m.) conclusion panel discussion on Piracy Issues and Responses;

Luncheon speaker, The Reverend Gail Avery of the North American Maritime Ministries Association, to address the importance of the maritime ministries;

Conference attendees to include maritime industry professionals and student and staff representatives from all 6 state maritime academies, the U.S Merchant Marine Academy;

Panelists to represent the U.S.C.G., U.S. Army, N.OA.A, Maritime Administration, leading U.S. flag shipping companies, and maritime unions;

Event provides an opportunity for students to learn about exciting careers and hear directly from successful women mariners regarding current issues affecting the maritime industry;
