Long Named Deputy Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer
PORT CANAVERAL, FL— August 17, 2010 – Jeff Long, CPA, recently joined the Canaveral Port Canaveral Authority as Deputy Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer. He brings 20 years of diverse experience as an executive for several large organizations in which he was responsible for developing and directing the fiscal functions.
Prior to joining the Port’s staff, Long served as vice president of Finance and Controller for the Golf Channel in Orlando, where he led the company’s accounting, financial reporting and analysis functions. He was Senior Director of Finance, Operations, and Administration with Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society (BASS), a division of ESPN, before his employment with the Golf Channel. His career began as a financial auditor at Deloitte & Touche in Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned his CPA certification.
Long is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
