Zenith Global Logistics Hires VP of Sales for Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Region

CONOVER, NC – December 19, 2013 – Specialized furniture carrier and international 3PL provider Zenith Global Logistics has hired Ed Myers for the position of Vice President of Sales, Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Region, a newly created position reporting directly to Jack Hawn, President and CEO.

Myers will be responsible for the development and management of all sales activity in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. “Zenith Global Logistics has witnessed significant growth in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, and because of this we felt it was time to expand our sales team in this geographic area,” explains Jack Hawn, President and CEO. “Ed’s more than three decades of home furnishings experience in sales, merchandising, and operations management will make him a valuable addition, and we look forward to having him work with our customers to provide comprehensive 3PL solutions tailored to their unique markets.” Myers is based at Zenith Global Logistics Aberdeen, MD hub, which is just outside of Baltimore and was recently was expanded by 300% to meet the growing need for freight, crossdocking, full-service warehousing, and split container services in that region.

Myers most recently was a Sales Representative and Territory Manager for Broyhill, where he has worked since 2000. Prior to that he spent nearly two decades at Drexel Hill Furniture, holding roles that include Chief Operating Officer, Chief Merchandiser and Vice President. He is past President and Chairman of the Board for the International Home Furnishings Association, and past President and Chairman of the Board for the Tri State Home Furnishings Association.
