NFI and Rent-A-Center open distribution center in Texas

CHERRY HILL, N.J.NFI, a leading supply chain solutions provider, headquartered in Cherry Hill,N.J., is pleased to announce the grand opening of its first distribution center in partnership with Rent-A-Center. The facility in Lancaster, Texas is the first of several distribution centers that will support Rent-A-Center operations across North America.

Rent-A-Center offers name-brand furniture, electronics, appliances and computers through rental- purchase agreements at over 3,000 retail locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. NFI partnered with Rent-A-Center to launch a supply chain solution that leverages strategically located facilities and integrated transportation, consisting of transportation management and dedicated fleets. The Lancaster, Texas warehouse is the first to begin operations as part of this supply chain transformation, which will continue throughout the year.

“We are very excited and ready to begin operating at this facility,” said Rent-A-Center Vice President of Global Logistics and Distribution Jonathan Parks. “This marks the start of a new era for RAC. The distribution centers that we’re opening with NFI play a key role in how we serve our customers. Through this network, we will be able to react to customer needs much quicker.”

NFI and Rent-A-Center will celebrate the grand opening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the distribution center. Members of each organization will address the hard work and dedication that has gone into making this new operation a success.
