Intermarine Announces Service Between Europe and South America

Intermarine has commenced a heavylift service between Europe and the Atlantic coast of South America. The company will continue its commitment of employing modern and highest capacity heavy lift assets with the proven expertise of the dedicated Intermarine team. The new service will uphold the Intermarine promise of delivery certainty for challenging industrial and energy related project cargo logistics.

Using vessels with gear capacity of up to 500 metric tons, Intermarine’s Europe service is perfectly suited to meet the needs of South America’s oil and gas, power generation, mining, and infrastructure development projects. These modern 10,000 DWT vessels are also well suited for wind energy component movements to Europe as they are designed without transverse bulkheads and can accommodate underdeck components up to 74.7 meters long.

This new service is represented in Europe by two offices -- Intermarine B.V. in Zeist, Holland under the direction of Tjeerd Veldhuizen, and Industrial Maritime Chartering GmbH in Hamburg, Germany, under the direction of Thomas Cord. The Europe service is supported by Intermarine’s worldwide offices, including its office in Buenos Aires, Argentina under the direction of Intermarine South America Commercial Representative Carlos Morino.

Together, Intermarine’s worldwide offices will work closely in support of the Europe service with a network of agents in Brazil, Argentina and the East Coast of South America who have been selected for their expertise in heavy lift cargoes and breakbulk services.

Intermarine, LLC, with offices in Houston, New Orleans, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Seoul, and Mumbai is the managing agent for Industrial Maritime Carriers, LLC (IMC) which provides regular and reliable project transportation in the Americas and Asia as well as customized services worldwide.
