Industry Leaders Feted at The Traffic Club of Chicago Annual Dinner, Thursday, May 20, 2010

CHICAGO, IL—April 26, 2010 (James Street Media Services)—The Traffic Club of Chicago, one of the nation’s oldest and finest transportation associations, will host its 103rd Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Chicago Marriott Hotel. Following a long-honored tradition, the evening’s head table will include top leaders from the industry.

“Heading up our impressive roster of experts is Keynote Speaker, Ray LaHood, Secretary of Transportation and Master of Ceremonies, Gabe Forir of American Commercial Lines,” said Bruce Betts, president of The Traffic Club of Chicago. “Other guests include high-level executives from a spectrum of industry-related organizations—transportation, logistics, railroads, finance, and suppliers,” Betts added.

Among the distinguished head table guests, which include executives from the Class I Railroads, there will be representatives from a virtual who's-who in the transportation sector (see list attached). The Traffic Club also welcomes Edward Hamberger, president and CEO of American Association of Railroads.

More than 1,000 transportation executives will be in attendance, with many planning high-level meetings around the event, such as the Annual Dinner Golf Outing which supports the organization’s scholarship fund. The Golf Outing will take place on Wednesday, May 19, at the Cog Hill Golf Club and Country Club.

The Traffic Club of Chicago, since its founding in 1907, has been the place for shippers, carriers, government officials and others involved in transportation to work together toward common goals.
