(20 May 2010, Hong Kong:) Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce that Polet Cargo Airlines and MNG Airlines have appointed Hactl's one-stop-shop services for cargo ground handling at the Hong Kong International Airport to support their new charter freighter services.

Polet Cargo Airlines, the Russian-based freighter carrier that specialised in the carriage of heavy and unique cargo, launched its inaugural charter services to Hong Kong on 9 May 2010 with routing of Frankfurt - Hong Kong - Vienna. It marks the first ever arrival of the new type of Russian-built aircraft - the wide-body IL-96-400T- in Hong Kong, reaching an important milestone for the carrier to expand its freighter services in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Maxim Klushin of Polet Cargo Airlines said, It is an exciting first step for us to run charter flight service to Hong Kong on our new homegrown aircraft. We see plenty of business opportunities in the Asia Pacific region and we are confident that Hactl, the world-class cargo terminal operator in Hong Kong with reliable and quality service, would definitely add value to our business and support our future expansion.

In addition, MNG Airlines, the Turkish-based freighter carrier and capacity provider for airline companies around the world, successfully launched its new charter services to Hong Kong on its Airbus A300 between Delhi and Hong Kong on 27 April 2010, with more charter flights scheduled in May.

Ms Lilian Chan, General Manager, Marketing and Customer Service of Hactl said, The smooth handling of all these charters, in particular the first ever IL-96-400T new aircraft coming to Hong Kong, all reaffirms Hactl's capability and flexibility in meeting our customers' needs. With more than 34 years of experience, we are always ready to offer customised solutions for our customers. Once again, we congratulate Polet Cargo Airlines and MNG Airlines on the launch of their new charter services to Hong Kong and we will work closely with them to support their new business developments in Hong Kong.
