Guangzhou Port Group (NANSHA) to Implement Important Operational Offerings to help customers during these challenging times

To implement the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the meeting for prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic and coordination in advancing economic and social development, and the decisions of Party Central Committee, State Council, provincial and city government to ensure the orderly resumption of work and production, on the basis of previously announced preferential policies, Guangzhou Port Company Limited decides to introduce more supporting measures to guarantee orderly operation of supply chain and logistics chain, help shipping, logistics companies and cargo owners to overcome difficulties together.

Detailed measures noted below:

  1. Further extend free storage for general cargo containers. General cargo containers entering Nansha Port Area between February 27th and March 31st cam enjoy an extra 10-day free storage on the basis of existing free storage period.
  2. Free storage for empty containers. From February 27th to April 30th, empty containers in Nansha Port Area can enjoy free storage (empty containers lump sum charges are excluded).
  3. Cooling charge and storage charge for reefer containers can enjoy a 30% discount. Equipped with sufficient reefer plugs and storage yards, Nansha Port Area looks forward to accommodating import and export reefer cargoes.

Please note, reefer containers entering Nansha Port Area between February 27th and March 31st can enjoy 30% off the agreement rate for cooling and storage charges.
