Exel Earns Fulfillment Center of the Year Award from Toys "R" Us
Westerville, Ohio (Oct. 29, 2009) – Exel, the North American leader in supply chain management and a Deutsche Post DHL company, today announced that its Groveport, Ohio, facility earned the “Fulfillment Center of the Year” award from Toys “R” Us.
Toys “R” Us evaluated its fulfillment partners on a number of criteria including “perfect orders,” an overall measure of how often customers received the right products at the right times, with internal systems and personnel working at maximum efficiency. Other key measures included order-fill accuracy, shipping efficiency and inventory accuracy.
“Across the board, the Exel team outperformed our already high standards and expectations,” said Michael Jacobs, senior vice president of Logistics at Toys “R” Us. “Exel’s fulfillment operation in Central Ohio is an important extension of the Toys “R” Us business, and we were delighted to be able to reward their hard work.”

Exel was selected as a fulfillment partner by Toys “R” Us in 2006. That same year, Exel received the company’s Logistics Partner of the Year award.
